Sunday Morning Worship
The Sunday Morning Service at Maranatha is a time devoted to worshipping God through singing, receiving God’s word through preaching, edifying God’s people through fellowship, and exalting God’s Son in everything.
What to Expect
You may be wondering what you can expect on Sunday morning at Maranatha Bible Church if you decide to attend. Our regular morning worship service begins at 10:30 with a pastoral greeting and prayer followed by congregational worship singing. The music is a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary music lead by a worship team including guitars, keyboard, and piano. All of the lyrics are projected on a screen and some of the hymns are also in the hymnal provided. A nursery is provided for the entire service, and just before the sermon, children three years old through the third grade are dismissed to their own Jr. Church. In a typical sermon, which lasts about forty minutes, the pastor will be preaching through a book of the Bible verse by verse with relevant application to life. The service concludes with a brief benediction and afterward the children can be picked up at the nursery or Jr. Church. Most of our current attendees dress casual to dressy casual, but please come as you are and I am sure you will not feel uncomfortable. For more information about our Sunday morning service please contact Pastor Shawn Grubb (567-4702; firstname.lastname@example.org).
